Excavation and Site Work Across Middle Tennessee’s Western Corridor
JD Lee Excavating serves residential and commercial clients throughout Humphreys, Dickson, Hickman, and Perry counties, with an extended service radius covering Nashville, Clarksville, Columbia, Franklin, Murfreesboro, and Lebanon. Our shop is in McEwen. We handle work daily within 20 miles of home and travel up to 100 miles for commercial site prep, large-acreage clearing, and subdivision development.
Primary Service Areas
McEwen and Humphreys County
Home base. We’ve been moving dirt in Humphreys County since 2000. The terrain here is highland rim geology with clay over limestone, steep hollows, and timber-covered ridgelines. Most of the residential work involves raw-land builds where the property needs clearing, grading, a driveway, septic, and a building pad before a builder can start.
Dickson and Dickson County
Twenty-five miles east and growing fast. Dickson County grew 9.5% since 2018 and markets itself as 30 minutes from Nashville. New residential construction on rural acreage is steady, and commercial development is picking up along the corridor. We handle site prep, land clearing, and building pad work across the county for homeowners, builders, and developers.
Centerville and Hickman County
Hickman County sits at the western edge of Nashville’s growth and the land is converting from agricultural to residential at a pace that’s accelerating year over year. Raw-land home builds, pond construction, pasture clearing, and access roads make up a large share of the work we do here.
Waverly and Perry County
Rural acreage, timber, and terrain that requires heavy equipment to develop. Properties in Perry County and around Waverly tend to be larger tracts with more clearing, longer driveway runs, and bigger earthwork scopes. This is where our fleet size and equipment capacity make the biggest difference.
